Wix Groups: Managing Events

Create exclusive events for your group members so they can meet up online or in person. Wix Groups works together with Wix Events to allow you to create, manage and promote events to your group members. These events are shared on the Events tab on your group page.

Creating and managing events

Create community events and display the events tab in your group so members can stay up to date with upcoming events. You can view, edit, cancel, reschedule, change registration settings, and much more from Wix Events in your site dashboard.

  1. Go to Groups in your site's dashboard.

  2. Click the relevant group.

  3. Click the Tabs tab at the top.

  1. Choose what you want to do next:Display the Events tab: Click the Visible icon  next to Events.

    Connect an event:Click Connect Event.
    Select the checkbox next to the relevant events and click Connect.
    Click Connect again to confirm.

    Create an event:Click Connect Event.
    Click Create Event and start creating your event.

    Manage existing events:Click {#} events connected.
    Hover on the relevant event and click Manage.

    Choose what you want to do next:View and filter your events.
    Cancel your event.
    Reschedule your event.
    Set registration status to open or closed.

How can I post my event in the group?

When you add an event to your group a post is automatically shared on your group feed. It is also displayed in your events tab. You can embed an event in a post on your feed and in a post comment, and guests can click Register Now to sign up. You can also promote your events in various ways.

Can I enable group members to create events?

Encourage active participation by enabling group members to create RSVP events. Empowering members to shape their group experience can boost engagement and foster a sense of community.

Group members create RSVP events from your live site. You still have full control, as the group owner to edit or delete the events created by your group members.

Group members can follow the instructions below to create an event.

To create a group event:

  1. Go to your live site and log in.

  2. Go to the relevant group on your live site.

  3. Click the Events tab.

  4. Click Create event.
