If nothing happens when you click your menu, something is likely overlapping it. Make sure your menu is on the 'front' layer and that your header and footer are not set to freeze (causing them to be on top of your menu).

To send your menu to the 'front' layer:

  1. Press Ctrl + 0 (zero) to set your browser's zoom to 100%.

Note: Press Command + 0 (zero) if using a Mac.

  2. Right-click on top of an area on your menu that is not working.

Note: Press Ctrl and click the mouse if using a Mac.

  3. Hover over Overlapping Items and select your menu.

  4. Press Ctrl + Shift + ↑ on your keyboard to bring the menu to the front.

    Note: Press Command + Shift + ↑ if you're using a Mac.

  5. Click Preview at the top right of the Editor and check that your menu works correctly.

  6. (If your menu works in Preview mode) Click Publish at the top right of the Editor, then refresh your live site and check that your menu works as expected.

To unfreeze your header:

  1. Click the header.

  2. Click the Settings icon

  5. (If your menu works in Preview mode) Click Publish at the top right of the Editor, then refresh your live site and check that your menu works as expected.

If your menu works properly on some browsers and devices but not others, check the following:

  1. Go to whatismybrowser.com to make sure you are using the latest browser version.

  2. If your browser's version is out of date, install the latest version. View Wix's supported browser versions.

  3. If the issue continues, follow the steps on the Wix Technical Assistant to resolve.

Additional troubleshooting tip:

Try deleting your menu then adding a new menu to see if this resolves the issue.
