Managing Your Website Settings

Use Website Settings to review your site’s status and update the essentials that appear in browsers, search results, and social networks. Follow the steps for your site type to view and edit what’s available.
Wix sites
The following settings are available for Wix sites built with the Wix Editor and the Studio Editor.
To manage your website settings:
Go to Website Settings in your site’s dashboard.
Choose what you want to update:
Publish status: View whether your site is published or not. Learn how to publish or unpublish your site.
Site name: Edit your site name to make is easy to find in your Wix account and impact how it shows in search results.
Wix site address (URL): View and edit the last part of your free site URL or connect a custom domain.
Favicon: Upload or replace the favicon, which is the small icon that appears in browser tabs and bookmarks.
General social image: Set the default og:image (Open Graph image) used when your site is shared on social networks. Publish your site from your editor to make the changes go live. It can take time for Facebook to update the image. Learn how to use the Facebook debugger.
Facebook username: Enter your Facebook username so links and previews can reference your official Page. Publish your site to make the changes go live.
Site history: Review and restore previous versions of your site if you need to roll back changes.
Click Save.
Wix Vibe only
The following settings are available for existing Wix Vibe sites only.
Important:
It is no longer possible to create new sites with Wix Vibe. To create your next site with AI, we recommend the Wix Harmony Editor, which combines AI site generation with full drag-and-drop control.
To manage your website settings:
Go to Website Settings in your site’s dashboard.
Choose what you want to update:
Publish status: View whether your site is published or not. Click Unpublish to remove your site from appearing online. You can publish from the Wix Vibe Editor.
Site name & SEO: Edit your site name or go to your SEO settings to customize how your site appears in search results.
Wix site address (URL): View the URL of your live site and click custom domain to connect your own domain.
Favicon: Upload or replace the favicon, which is the small icon that appears in browser tabs and bookmarks.
General social image: Set the default og:image (Open Graph image) used when your site is shared on social networks. It can take time for Facebook to update the image. Learn how to use the Facebook debugger.
Facebook username: Enter your Facebook username so links and previews can reference your official page.
Site history: Review and restore previous versions of your site if you need to roll back changes.
Click Save.
Note:
For Wix Vibe sites, the favicon, social media image, and Facebook username go into effect up to 5 minutes after you save them. You do not need to republish to make these changes go live.
Wix Headless
Go to Website Settings in your site’s dashboard.
Choose what you want to update:
Project name: Edit your project name to make is easy to find in your dashboard.
Wix pages domain: Change the last part of your Wix domain or connect your own custom domain.
Note: When visitors are redirected to a Wix-hosted page (such as login or checkout), the web address they see is based on your Wix domain. Edit the domain path to better match your brand, or upgrade to use your own domain throughout the user experience.
Favicon: Upload or replace the favicon, which is the small icon that appears in browser tabs and bookmarks.
Note: This is especially important if visitors are redirected to a Wix-hosted page. Without updating the favicon, visitors see the Wix logo, so we recommend uploading your own favicon or upgrading to keep your branding consistent.
Click Save.
