The Outgoing Notifications page helps you keep track of all the ways you send notifications to your customers. Turn notifications on or off, edit your automated notifications, and view stats to assess the effectiveness of your communications.

Viewing your notifications

View all your active and inactive notifications, across all apps, on the Outgoing Notifications page. The notifications are divided by the Wix apps you have installed, for more precise control.

In addition, you can see which notifications you've created (using an automation), and those that were installed for you.

Tip:

You can also see a summary of every notification, including the total times triggered and the last trigger date. This can help you check if the automation is working and how effective it is. For example, if the automation was triggered 0 times, it might not be working correctly.

To view your outgoing notifications:

  1. Go to Settings in your site's dashboard.

  2. Click Outgoing notifications.

Manage and edit notifications sent from your site to your customers (e.g. emails and mobile push notifications). You can activate or deactivate a notification, view its activity summary, and access the automation to make any necessary changes.

Note:

Outgoing notifications are managed through Wix Automations. You can view and manage all your automations from the Automations page in your site's dashboard.

To manage outgoing notifications:

  1. Go to Settings in your site's dashboard.

  2. Click Outgoing notifications.

  3. Hover over the relevant notification and click View Summary.

  4. Choose what to do next:

To return to the Outgoing Notifications page at any point, click the Back arrow.

Make changes to the notification's flow to ensure the automation works for your purposes.

  1. Click the More Actions icon

    .

  2. Click Edit.

  3. Edit the automation as necessary.

  4. When you're finished editing, click Publish Changes.

Note: Editing the timing of an automation can affect "pending" actions. "Pending" actions are ones that have been triggered, but haven't yet taken place (the timing has been set for them to occur after a certain period of time).

Save time by duplicating an existing notification and make any edits needed. For example, you can use the same email campaign design to respond to different triggers.

  1. Click the More Actions icon

    Managing Outgoing Notifications

    .

  2. Click Duplicate.

  3. Edit the relevant details within your duplicated automation.

Tip: Don't forget to update your duplicated notification's name, or it will remain as '[notification name] - Copy'.

  4. When ready, click Activate.

For automations you've created, rename the notification so you and your site collaborators can easily identify it.

  1. Click the More Actions icon

    .

  2. Click Rename.

  3. Edit the notification's name.

  4. Click Save.

See how your email notifications are doing with statistics like delivery rate and the number of clicks. These stats are available for any automation you've created, or App automations that you modified.

  1. Click the More Actions icon

    Managing Outgoing Notifications

    .

  2. Click View email stats.

  3. (In the pop-up) Scroll down to see the statistics.

Note: Your email statistics are made up of unique recipients. If an email is triggered for the same contact more than once, it counts as only one email.

Disable the Active toggle to deactivate a notification. This will stop the notification from getting sent without deleting it. In addition, trigger data will no longer be collected.

Tip: You can reactivate the notification at any time by clicking the toggle again.

Deleting a notification will remove it from the page and you won't be able to restore it.

  1. Click the More Actions icon

    Managing Outgoing Notifications

    .

  2. Click Delete.

  3. Click Delete in the pop-up to confirm.

Notes:

  • If you wish to use this notification in the future, consider deactivating it rather than deleting it.

  • Notifications marked as App automations can be deactivated but not deleted.
