Hopp by Wix: Connecting a Custom Domain to Your Hopp Page
Updated: 6 days ago
Customize the domain of your Link in Bio page to make it more personal and consistent with your brand. You can purchase a domain just for the Link in Bio page or connect it as a subdomain of an existing Wix site (e.g. link-in-bio.example.com).
Important:
You must upgrade to Hopp Pro in order to connect a custom domain to your Link in Bio.
Connecting a custom domain
Purchase a new domain on the spot for your Link in Bio page or connect it to a domain you already own. If your existing domain is associated with your Wix site, you can connect the Link in Bio page as a subdomain (e.g. bio.yourdomain.com) so your online assets are all part of the same brand.
To connect a custom domain:
Go to hopp.co and log in.
Click Link in Bio on the left.
Click Connect Domain at the top.
Choose what to do next:
Buy a domain
Purchase a custom domain for your Link in Bio page through Wix.
Click Buy a domain.
Search for the domain you'd like to connect to see if it is available.
Click Buy next to the relevant domain.
Select a registration period and click Continue.
Enter your payment details and click Continue.
Click Submit Purchase to approve the purchase.
Click Connect Domain.
Choose how you want to connect your domain:
Connect as a root domain: The link to your Link in Bio page is the main domain you purchased, exactly as is (e.g www.nirstravelblog.com).
Type a subdomain: Use the main domain for your site and create a subdomain for your Link in Bio page to associate it with your brand. For instance, if "www.yourdomain.com" is your site's domain, you can create a subdomain like "bio.yourdomain.com" for your Link in Bio page.
Click Connect.
Click Done.
Note: Some Premium plans come with one year purchase of a domain that you can connect to during the custom domain connection process.
Connect a domain you own
Connect a domain you already own as a root or subdomain.
Click Connect a domain you own.
Enter the domain you want to connect to and click Check.
Click Continue next to the available domain.

FAQs
Click a question below to learn more about connecting custom domains to your Link in Bio page.
I connected my existing domain to Hopp, but it redirects to my site. Why is this happening?
When connecting an existing domain to your Link in Bio page, make sure that you connect your Link in Bio as a subdomain (e.g. 'bio.yourdomain.com' instead of 'yourdomain.com'). As the main domain is already associated to your site, the same link can't be used for your Link in Bio page.
I just purchased a new custom domain, but am unable to connect it to my Link in Bio. Why?
It can take up to a few hours for the new domain to connect fully to your Link in Bio page. During this time, you can still use your previous Hopp URL (e.g. "hopp.bio/handle").
Will my custom domain apply to my instant pages and shortened links?
Currently, your custom domain applies to your Link in Bio page and instant pages, but not to short links.
Instant page URLs use your custom domain, for example: yourdomain.com/instantpage-name
Shortened link URLs keep the Hopp format, for example: yourhandle.hopp.to/link-name
