Overview. 🔍
🔍 What Claude Security Does
It continuously scans codebases for vulnerabilities, tracks each finding until resolved and proposes patches for review.
⚙️ How Scanning Works
A project connects up to eight repositories. A deep baseline scan builds a threat model, then new commits trigger lighter scans. Findings are verified, and open ones are rechecked against changed code.
🛠️ Setup
Public beta on Enterprise: each user needs a premium seat and usage credits must be on. An owner enables it, then installs the Claude GitHub App or adds a repo address and token for other Git providers.
💡 Pro tip Open a Claude Code session straight from a finding to generate the fix, then review it like any pull request.
⚠️ Limits
No Zero Data Retention support. Scans are stochastic, so results vary; first scans on large repos can take hours, and severity may miss deployment context.
