🧠 How Claude Memory Works
Memory keeps notes on key topics from your conversations and uses them in future chats. It is on by default for Free, Pro and Max plans, and you can switch it under Settings, then Your Claude, with the Memory from chats toggle.

🗂️ Projects Keep Separate Memory
Each project has its own memory, and chat search stays limited to that project. Client work stays separated by default.

✏️ Reviewing and Editing Memories
Open Settings to see the topics Claude remembers, then edit or delete any of them individually. Incognito chats, marked with the ghost icon, aren't saved to history or memory and are never searched.
