2 min read
⚡ TL;DR Every Team seat includes Claude Code, with Premium seats for heavier use. Log in via the Code tab or by running claude and choosing subscription login. Usage credits extend limits.

Your developers can use the company plan for coding too. Here's how the Claude Code Team plan and Enterprise access work.

Guide. 👩‍💻

💺 Claude Code Team Plan Seats

Every Team seat includes Claude Code; Premium seats give more usage. New and self-serve Enterprise include it per seat, while older Enterprise plans need Chat + Claude Code or Premium seats.

🔑 Logging In

Use the Code tab in Claude Desktop, or run claude in the terminal, choose subscription login and authorize your plan. Your IDE uses the same account.

🛠️ Admin Controls

Owners buy or reassign seats in Organization settings. HIPAA-ready Enterprise needs a HIPAA configuration before Claude Code is covered by the BAA.

💡 Pro tip Give Premium seats only to your heaviest coders and enable usage credits for the rest.

📊 Usage Limits

Usage-based Enterprise has no per-seat limits and bills at API rates. Team and seat-based Enterprise can enable usage credits. Monthly API credits can't be used in Claude Code.
