Sometimes the fastest way to explain an idea is to show the conversation that produced it. Claude chat sharing sends a read-only snapshot without exposing your files.
Here is how both sharing modes work. 🔗
🔗 How Claude Chat Sharing Works
Click Share in the top-right corner of a chat, then Share again to create the snapshot. It includes the messages sent before sharing, plus any artifacts from the chat.
🔒 Attached files and raw connector tool data stay private
🕒 Messages sent after sharing stay private unless you update the snapshot
🌍 Public Links
Anyone with a public link can view the snapshot, without a Claude account. Viewers can read but can't continue the chat.
👥 Sharing with Specific People
Invite people by email for a private share. Only the invited address can open the link, and invitees see the messages, artifacts and your name, but can't reply, continue, copy or download files.
Sharing with specific people works on all plans; on Team and Enterprise, invites stay inside your organization's domain.
🚫 Unsharing
Open the Share menu and switch visibility from Public to Private. The link stops working immediately, but copies people already saved can't be removed.
