🧾 Types of Claude API Invoices

Paid usage contracts get a monthly Stripe invoice for API, playground and other usage. Prepaid accounts get a receipt for each credit purchase, including auto-reloads.

📍 Finding Them

Search your inbox for 'Your receipt from Anthropic', or open Billing, Invoice history in the Console. Only Admin or Billing roles can see it.

➖ Applied Balance

A negative applied balance is existing credit being used, not a discount, from an earlier invoice under $0.50 or account credits.

💡 Pro tip Pay bank transfers for the exact invoice amount, or it stays past due.

✏️ Corrections

Issued invoices can't be changed; updated billing details appear only on future invoices.
