Adding or Updating an SRV Record in Your Wix Account

A Service (SRV) DNS record provides information about where a service in your system is located. You can add or update SRV records from the Domains page in your Wix account.

Important:

If your domain is connected to Wix via pointing, you must add or update SRV records with your domain host (not Wix).

To add or update an SRV record:

1. Go to Domains in your Wix account.

2. Click the Domain Actions icon

   

   next to the relevant domain.

3. Select Manage DNS Records.

1. Choose what you want to do:

Add a new SRV record

1. Click + Add Record in the SRV section.

   

2. Click the Service drop-down and select the service type.

3. Click the Protocol drop-down and select a protocol type.

4. Enter the Weight, Port, Target, and Priority in the relevant fields.

5. Click the TTL drop-down and select a TTL value.

6. Click Save.

Edit an existing SRV record

1. Hover over the SRV record you'd like to update and click Edit.

   

2. Edit the SRV record using the relevant drop-downs and fields.

3. Click Save.
