Managing your site members

Site Members: Reviewing Reports

We’re in the process of releasing a new site members dashboard and it's not available to everyone yet.

To help you maintain a safe and welcoming community, site members can report others for issues like spam, impersonation, harassment and more. When a report is submitted, you have full control—you can review the details, dismiss the report, or block the member if necessary.

  1. Go to Site Members in your site's dashboard.

  2. Click the More Actions icon  next to the relevant member.
    Tip: Members who have been reported have a Reported label under their name.

  3. Select Review reports.

  4. Choose what you want to do next:Block Member: Prevent the user from accessing your site as a member and block them from signing up again with the same email address. Blocked members are not notified and will remain in your contacts as “Blocked,” allowing you to manage their access without deleting their contact details.
    Remove Reports: Permanently delete the report.

How do members report each other?

Your members can report each other from two places: the profile page or the members list.

When submitting a report, members need to choose a reason (e.g. spam, harassment, impersonation, etc.). They can also leave a note to share more details about what happened.

While the report is received and reviewed, if the problem continues, your site members can block the reported member.

To report a member:

  1. Go to your live site and log in.

  2. Go to your Members list on the live site.

  3. Click the More Actions icon  next to the relevant member’s profile.

  4. Select Report Member.

  5. Select a reason or select Other and add a note.

  6. Click Report.

Tip: You can share these steps with your site members.

Do members know if someone reports them?

No. Reported members don't get notified if someone reports them on your site.

Can members report a person more than once?

Yes. Members can report the same person as many times as they need to.

Can members report me or my site's admins?

No. Members can only report other members. They cannot report the site owner or anyone with an admin role (for example group admin or blog admin), and admins cannot report members.

Reporting is a feature available exclusively to regular members and is available by default. You can identify members with admin roles by the admin label next to their names in the profile page, the members list or the contacts table.
