Desktop POS Solutions: An Overview
Wix lets you use your computer as a point of sale in 2 ways. Use the POS Checkout solution to make sales and collect payment from customers who visit you in person or use the Wix Dashboard Card Reader solution to collect payment for existing sales using a card reader.
POS checkout
POS Checkout is a great way to collect payment from clients or customers who visit you in person. If you use Wix Stores or Wix Bookings, you can add products or services to the cart and accept payment for them.
In addition, you can charge clients for custom charges. This makes it easy to accept payment for such things as consultations, therapy sessions, or lessons.

Dashboard card reader solution
The Wix Dashboard Card Reader solution is an ideal way to collect card payment for items that your customers or clients have already ordered or booked online.
For example, if you use Wix Bookings and your client has booked a massage online, you can collect credit card payment from them when they come in to receive the treatment.
Additionally, you can collect payment for products you sell through Wix Stores or menu items you sell through Wix Restaurant Orders (new), and you can always add a custom charge to any order. That way, you can charge clients for such things as a consultation, therapy session, or lesson.

Card reader
When it's time to accept payment, just click the Collect Payment button and select Charge with card reader. You'll find a collect button in the Orders tab, in the Wix Bookings calendar, and your Contact List.
